patrol in South Atlantic from 1943 to 1945. Today she is an operational
museum ship based in Rio, on exhibition at principal coastal ports of Brasil.

The Peruvian ironclad battleship Huascar, which was built in 1865,
was captured by Chile during the Pacific War during the Battle of Angamos in
1879. It is one of the last classic ironclads afloat. Peru is still asking for
the return of their ship.
